Builds
What
You'll Learn: One
of the more interesting effects you can apply to
a slide is a "build." In this lesson, you
will be applying a build to a slide that will effect
the way that your bulleted text appears on the screen.
This build is actually one of many animation effects
packaged with PowerPoint. In this example, we'll
be selecting a conservative animation effect that
will display the bullets on a slide one by one, from
the top to bottom. Other, less conservative effects
can be applied as well.

A
dark blue outline appears around the slide that has

 |
From
the Apply to Selected Slides drop down menu,
select any one of the build options.
Since we
want the bullets to appear one at a time, from
the top down, we've selected the Subtle
Animation | Fade In One By One option
from the list. The animation that has been selected
will be applied to the slide that was selected. |
This
list is rather long; it is grouped by four types
of animation effects: a) No Animation, b) Subtle
Animation, c) Moderate Animation,
and d) Exciting Animation.
You be
the judge of how "exciting" you want
your slide to be. Some of the more exciting effects
can be somewhat outrageous.... |
