Final Reports of the Davis-Funded Instructional Technology Projects at PC
With suppport from the Davis Educational Foundation, the Instructional Technolgy Development Program (ITDP) and the Faculty Technology Program Review Committee (FTPRC) will have distributed $150,000 across a three year period, from Fall 2002 to Fall 2005. These resources will have been used to underwrite faculty efforts at introducing to and incorporating in their coursework different aspects of instructional technology. Some dozens of solo, mentor, and colaborative projects have been and will be funded during the balance of the Davis Project life.
The Process. Using electronically-published guidelines, Providence College faculty develop proposals which are submitted online; these in turn are reviewed by the FTPRC. This body determines the status of the projects (funded vs. unfunded) in light of established criteria, and disburses financial resources through Mr. Charles Haberle's office, the Office of the Vice President of Academic Administration. Projects, characterized as either Solo, Mentor, or Collaborative in nature, generally last one year, though some are somewhat shorter or longer. An interim report is required documenting progress and, occasionally, highlighting impediments to progress. A final report is due upon termination of the project. These are the reports that are accessed via this page, either from the following list or from the menu at the left.
