Description

In the lab portion of this course, students will become become familiar with the information technology resources and computer assisted auditing techniques (CAATs) used in the auditing profession. Additionally, a portion of the examinations will be held in the lab to provide students with experience in the computerized formats used in the CPA examination. All lab work must be completed and submitted during the lab period. Being absent from lab and missing the lab assignment for the day will result in a zero grade for that assignment. The lowest lab grade will be dropped in the calculation of the final lab average. If you know that you have an interview out of town or athletic competition which requires you to be away, it is your responsibility to speak to me in advance to make arrangements for advance submission. A failure to make advance arrangements will result in a zero grade for that assignment.

All labs will meet in Koffler Hall Lab on Wednesdays. Students in the 11:30 (K) section have lab from 11:30-12:20, while students in the 1:00 (L) section have lab from 12:30 to 1:20. You are required to bring the ACL text and CD to every lab in which the assignment for the day is an ACL project. A failure to bring the text and CD will not excuse you from the lab assignment and your resulting grade will be zero. The course calendar provides information on dates and lab topics.
