ANGEL Discussions
Accinno 202
|
Discussions forums in ANGEL can keep your students talking outside the classroom or help them prepare for heated talks once they step back in. There are many features in the discussion tool, where students must post before they can respond to others or take on the role of facilitator for their classmates.
If you've been thinking about incorporating online discussions, come to this session where we'll discuss different ways to use online discussions and set up one in a course. |

The quiz tool has been used for everything from a quick “are they getting it?” quiz to full-blown final exams. Surveys have been used for mid and end of semester feedback from students to polling groups of students across campus about their interests in a particular topic. The tools are powerful and can save you time with auto-grading and auto-calculating features.
In this session we’ll create a both a practice quiz and survey so you’ll you get a feel for the types of questions the tools can handle and know how to create your own after the session. |

Have you ever wondered if there is an easier way to do something in ANGEL? Or if something is even possible? Spend an hour with me and you’ll learn about storing files in the LOR for reuse in future courses, adding a Turnitin dropbox for student paper submissions, how to check what students are looking at in your course, and how to customize the look of your course. Bring your questions as this will be an interactive session. |
